Duel at Dawn Slot Review

This is not the Wanted Dead or a Wild bonus of the same name, and it is not RIP City. Same 5×5 and 19 lines. This canyon shoots. That alley opens a jaw. A cowboy in a red poncho aims at you here. The load screen sells two bonuses and 15,000×. The studio line is Feel the gold rush.

Twenty-five cells

Five by five. Left to right. Not a Wanted bonus

Nineteen fixed lines. Wins start on reel one and walk across adjacent reels. One write-up called the board four rows. The client in front of me is five high.

A line game

Not clusters. Not eight anywhere. Three matching symbols from the left is the first pay. The star is the top premium. Five of them are 10× the stake.

Two names, two products

Wanted Dead keeps a bonus called Duel at Dawn on 15 lines with a 12,500× cap. This file is the later standalone slot. The canyon, the 19 lines and the 15,000× plaque belong here.

The load screen talks first

Three plaques: DuelReels are back and they brought the Outlaw. Two bonus games. 15,000×. Five volatility pips sit under the title. Review sheets that print n/5 write 4/5. I will not average those.

The board sits in scorched timber. Mesas and saguaro behind it. The gunslinger stands left, hat over the eyes, poncho on the shoulder, hand near the holster. Hacksaw's H is top right. A yellow Buy Bonus sits bottom left on this demo. The published day is 21 November 2024. Stakes on the sheets that print them run 0.10 to 100. Hit rate 29%. That is a spec-sheet percent, not a count I ran on Duel.

DuelReels

VS does not expand for sport

A VS lands. It covers the reel only if that full reel would then sit on a win. After the expand, two duelists take the column: the Outlaw and the Sheriff. Each holds a multiplier. The survivor's value applies to wins that include that reel. Every cell on the opened reel counts as wild.

The printed list is 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 7×, 8×, 9×, 10×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, 75×, 100×, 200×. That is the cap on this title, not the 100× ceiling from the Wanted bonus. If two or more DuelReels share one win, the values are added, then that sum applies. They are not multiplied with each other first. Only one VS can sit on a reel.

The Outlaw feature

He opens the reel, then he shoots the grid

An Outlaw symbol expands into a full wild reel and shows a revolver with one to six bullets. That count is how many wilds he puts on the rest of the board. Two Outlaws can land on one spin. They cannot share a cell and they cannot shoot each other. One Outlaw per reel, two at most.

The opened Outlaw reel also carries a multiplier from the same 2× to 200× list. If two Outlaw reels sit on one win, those values add. A VS and an Outlaw never land on the same spin. That is a studio rule, not a house guess.

Two bonuses

Three FS start the street fight. Four start dusk

The load screen says two explosive bonus games. The studio page names them Wild Wild West and Dusk 'Til Dawn.

Wild Wild West. Three FS scatters in the base give ten free spins. The rules stay the same. VS and Outlaw land more often, and the high end of the multiplier list shows up more. Extra scatters during the round add spins: two give +2, three give +4.

Dusk 'Til Dawn. Four FS scatters in the base give ten free spins. VS do not roam here. They only arrive on DuelSpins. You unlock a DuelSpin by landing Outlaw symbols and filling a six-wild revolver. The progress does not have to finish on one spin. A DuelSpin pays at once and does not eat a free spin. At most two unlocks on one spin, then they play in order.

The first DuelSpin guarantees at least two VS. The second at least three. The third at least four. The fourth puts five VS on the grid. Each unlock also adds three free spins. One write-up described dusk as random DuelReels at the start. That is not the studio rule.

The yellow Buy Bonus opens five cards. I read them at a €25.00 demo bet. BonusHunt FeatureSpins is €75 (3×) and says each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus. Deadly Duels and Lone Outlaw are €1,500 each (60×): at least two VS, or one Outlaw with at least two bullets. Both say FS symbols cannot land. Wild Wild West is €2,500 (100×). Dusk 'Til Dawn is €5,000 (200×). Hunt, Wild Wild West and Dusk print Very high. The two FeatureSpins print High. Review sheets mark the menu not UK. I will not print a buy RTP as the Duel library figure.

Which return

Four returns under one poncho

The studio product page is silent on RTP. The review sheets that list a ladder print four figures. Duel keeps the first. Other lobbies can load the quiet three.

Published RTP figures for Duel at Dawn
Panel Figure What it is
Duel Casino library 96.30% Highest certified setting on the review ladder. Duel loads the max RTP on every studio slot
Official top on those sheets 96.30% The figure the bodies print first. Attribute boxes sometimes flash 94.27% instead
Other shipped configs 94.27% · 92.28% · 88.37% Three quieter builds operators can load

Live trackers that sit on 94.27% after a short spin sample are not the certified return. Volatility on the load screen is five pips. Sheets that print n/5 write 4/5. High, medium-high and very high all appear as words. I will not mash them into a sixth label.

96.30% is the take Duel keeps

Four possible returns. This lobby keeps the highest one on every studio slot.

Duel 96.30% 94.27% 92.28% 88.37%

The canyon and the poncho stay the same on a quieter file. The long-run pay does not.

Duel Casino keeps the highest setting on every studio slot. Duel at Dawn therefore loads 96.30%, the same house rule as Wanted Dead or a Wild, Le Bandit and RIP City.

Slots on Duel still return 50% of the house edge as instant rakeback. This is a Hacksaw title, not a Duel Original.

He pointed the gun. The sheet still has to pay

The canyon marks well. It pays in lines, not clusters. Five cards are 1×. Five stars are 10×. A VS does nothing until the opened reel would actually pay. Then the Sheriff and the Outlaw settle it, and the survivor's number is added if a second reel joined the same win. That is louder than Le Bandit, where gold squares sit like wet paint until a rainbow walks in.

Three FS start ten hotter spins. Four FS start dusk, where VS only arrive after six Outlaw shots have filled the chamber. The fourth DuelSpin puts five VS on the grid. I will not invent how often that chamber fills.

Duel already has the title. The return is 96.30% because this lobby ships the maximum on every studio slot. Slots still return 50% of the house edge as instant rakeback. This is not a Duel Original. The rest of the aisle is on games.

In the left holster. A full €2 line sheet, 15,000× on the load plaque, and a lobby that keeps 96.30%.

In the right. The hope that every VS opens the reel. It does not. The hope that dusk starts with free-roaming VS. It does not.

Still in the dust. Five pips on the load screen against 4/5 on the sheets. I printed both.

15,000 times the stake. There is no progressive jackpot. The load screen prints 15,000X on the third plaque.

96.30%, the highest setting on that ladder. That is house policy for studio slots, not a trimmed 88.37% panel.
No. Wanted Dead or a Wild has a bonus of the same name on 15 lines with a 12,500× cap. This page is the standalone 19-line slot.
Only if the full reel would then be part of a win. The survivor of the Outlaw vs Sheriff duel applies 2× to 200×. Several DuelReels on one win add their values.
