Wanted Dead or a Wild Slot Review

This is not Supreme Zeus. Five by five, fifteen lines, a tin-star wild. The VS can fire on a paid spin. The ceiling is 12,500×. Hacksaw dated it 29 September 2021 and called it the first DuelReels™ game.

Fifteen lines under a red moon

Not ways from the left on a short 5×4. Not eight anywhere. Three matching symbols on a fixed line, counted from reel one.

A square, not a courtyard

Five across, five down. Talk of clusters sat on this title before launch. What shipped is fifteen paylines. A win that starts on reel two pays nothing.

The tin star pays

There is a wild. It stands in for cards, skulls, bottles, bags and the chamber. It does not stand in for a scatter or a VS. Five stars are 20x, the same as five chambers.

The street is empty on purpose

Published hit rate 19.36%. That is a spec-sheet percent, not a count I ran on Duel. About one spin in five pays. The rest wait for a VS or a poster.

The board sits outdoors. Blood-red sky, a yellow moon behind a dead tree, a wooden frame. No saloon street. The logo is nailed to the top plank with the word WANTED shot through. Hacksaw printed 4 out of 5 for volatility. The three jobs on the intro have their own heat: medium on the train, very high at dawn, high on the dead hand.

Wanted Dead or a Wild board: 5x5 grid in a dark wooden frame under a red sky and yellow moon, Buy Bonus bottom left, demo bet €2

Stakes on the sheets that print them run 0.20 to 100. A UK box can cap the top end at 5. I am using the shared studio-side range. This is a 2021 title. The lobby still keeps it.

DuelReels

A paid spin can still draw a duel

That is the split with Supreme Zeus. Zeus holds the coins for the bonus. This one lets a VS land before anyone posts a scatter. The reel grows only if the full column would then pay. Two outlaws stand on it. One walks. His 2x to 100x sits on a wild reel.

Two or more VS add first. The sum then multiplies the line wins. Five VS, one on every reel, treat the board as entirely wild. The intro poster shortens this to one line: the VS turns the reel into a wild multiplier of up to 100x. The studio page is longer. I am keeping the longer rule.

Bonus features

Three posters on one fence

Three scatters. Three jobs. The intro nails them to the same board.

3+ Duel

Duel at Dawn

Duel at Dawn badge: crossed revolvers over a wagon wheel, the word Duel across the middle

Ten free spins. More VS than the street. Up to five expanded reels. The studio calls this the best shot at 12,500×. The buy rail prints very high. Price on the sheets that list it: 200×.

3+ Dead

Dead Man's Hand

Dead Man's Hand badge: the word DEAD on a gold compass plate inside a red leather frame

Collect wilds and multipliers. Each collect resets the count to three. Three blanks end the gather. Then three showdown spins drop the pile. Caps on the reviews: 20 wilds, x31. Buy 400×. High.

3+ Train

The Great Train Robbery

The Great Train Robbery badge: gold lettering on a green shield

Ten free spins. Every wild that lands stays for the rest of the job. Medium on the buy rail. 80×. The intro says only this: the wilds remain sticky.

Buy RTPs on the top config read 96.27% (train), 96.33% (dawn) and 96.43% (dead). Those are purchase figures, not the Duel library RTP. I will not say every lobby ships the green button.

Game info

The chamber is 20x. The fence is 12,500×

Which return

Four returns on one wanted sheet

Hacksaw ships four figures. Duel keeps the first. Other lobbies can load the quiet three.

Published RTP figures for Wanted Dead or a Wild
Panel Figure What it is
Duel Casino library 96.38% Highest setting Hacksaw ships. Duel loads the max RTP on every studio slot
Official top 96.38% The figure on the studio page and on the €2 info screen
Other shipped configs 94.55% · 92.33% · 88.42% Three quieter builds operators can load

One catalogue prints 94.55% in the spec box and the four figures in the body. I am using the studio list. A write-up that splits 96.38% for bonuses and 94.55% for the street is mixing two different things. I will not repeat that split.

This lobby

96.38% is the stake Duel keeps

Four possible returns. This lobby keeps the highest one on every studio slot.

Duel 96.38% 94.55% 92.33% 88.42%

Hacksaw certifies 96.38% as the top return. The other three exist. The moon and the tree stay the same. The long-run pay does not.

Duel Casino keeps the highest setting on every studio slot. Wanted Dead or a Wild therefore loads 96.38%, the same house rule as Supreme Zeus and Sweet Bonanza 1000.

Slots on Duel still return 50% of the house edge as instant rakeback. This is a Hacksaw title, not a Duel Original.

The moon was still up when I folded

I did not wait for a scatter to see the trick. A VS can stand on a paid spin, grow if the column would pay, and leave a 2x or a 100x on a wild reel. That is why this 2021 board still sits in the aisle next to newer Hacksaw titles that hide the coins.

The street itself is thin. Cards are 1x for a full line. The chamber is 20x. Most minutes are the red sky and the dead tree. The heat is the duel, the sticky train, or the three showdown spins after a long collect. The studio points at dawn for the 12,500×. I will not invent a frequency for that shot.

Duel already has the title. The return is 96.38% because this lobby ships the maximum on every studio slot. Slots still return 50% of the house edge as instant rakeback. This is not a Duel Original. If you want the later Zeus from the same house, that page is Supreme Zeus. The rest of the aisle is on games.

  • Charge 1 The paid spin is allowed to draw. Zeus 2026 is not.
  • Charge 2 Three posters, three heats. Do not buy the train expecting dawn.
  • Charge 3 Other yards can hang 88.42%. This one hangs 96.38%.

Yes. VS symbols land on a paid spin and in Duel at Dawn. They expand only if the full reel would then pay. The winner of the duel puts 2x to 100x on that wild reel.
Yes. The tin star substitutes for paying symbols, not for scatters or VS. Five stars pay 20x, the same as five chambers.
Three or more Train Robbery, Duel, or Dead scatters. Train is ten sticky-wild spins. Dawn is ten spins with more VS. Dead is a collect, then three showdown spins.
