It stands behind the host, wraps its arms around him, leans into the lens until the table disappears and lies down across the printed rules. Boxes stay live underneath every time. We dated four separate sessions, cut eleven clips out of the recordings, and found the answer to what it is. It is not SpongeBob.
The costume gets called SpongeBob because that is the shape your eye reaches for first, and it is wrong. Look at the build in the photograph above. The body carries flat green blotches where the character has darker porous holes. The eyes bulge too far and sit too low. The head is a rounded slab rather than a sponge. Read as a knock-off it looks incompetent, and it is not a knock-off.
It is Freakbob, sometimes written Freakybob: a deliberately warped, bug-eyed SpongeBob that started as an Instagram post in December 2023 and spread across TikTok, Instagram and X through 2024, usually as a fake incoming call the viewer is dared to answer. The look comes from deep-fried image editing, which is exactly what those green blotches and bulging eyes are. Somebody took a meme that only ever existed as a mangled JPEG and had it built in fabric.
That resolves the naming mess as well. Two of the recordings below were filed under SpongeBob and one under Freak Bob in the notes we work from. It is one wardrobe with one origin, and Freakbob is what it is.
Duel's live client leaves evidence inside its own video. A developer bar in the top-left corner prints the build numbers and a clock. A header names the table and its limits. A badge in the bottom-right gives the dealer's first name and shift ID. Where a capture is cropped past those overlays we leave the field empty rather than guess.

The 9 May session is the one that reframes everything. Its shift ID, 47445, is the same badge that appears on the oldest clip in the wider Duel archive, the performer billed as Drake, timestamped 21:44:45 that night. The costume is on set roughly two and a half minutes before that clip was captured. Whatever this act is, it was already running in early May, a month before the appearances anyone noticed.
The 7 June recording is dated to the second. We read its debug clock at six points and it advances exactly in step with the footage, which fixes the window at 14:52:59 to 14:53:45. Backend 3.0.4 LTS, frontend 5.0.4 LTS.
What we redacted and why. Every clip below has its player handles blacked out, and the two clips from 9 May also have the chat panel covered. Those columns carry racial slurs and worse, and we are not putting them back into circulation to prove a point about a costume. Audio is stripped from the dated sessions for the same reason. We also do not name the performer: nothing in any recording identifies them, and guessing would be worthless.
Strip the costume away and what is left is a supervision question. On a regulated live floor, a person lying across an active layout ends the round. The cards are burned, the hand is voided, the table cuts to a holding screen and the incident gets written up. Across these eleven clips the shoe stays in play, the bets stay on the felt, and the camera keeps rolling while the layout is physically obstructed, in one case with the lens completely covered.
Nothing in the footage suggests the outcome of any hand was altered. A costume flopping over the printed rules does not reach into the shoe. But a table nobody can clear in 46 seconds tells you something about how the room is run, and it is a different something from what the celebrity bookings are meant to tell you.
The rules are printed on the felt in the same frame as the costume, which is a convenient accident. Blackjack pays 3 to 2. Dealer must stand on 17 and must draw to 16. Insurance pays 2 to 1. The suit lying on top of those three lines changes none of them.
Duel Blackjack returns 99.78% once up to 60% rakeback credits as withdrawable balance, and that figure holds whether the table is running quietly or has a rented meme on it. If you are picking a table on the strength of the show, you are picking on the one variable with no effect on your money. The Clavicular booking on the $100,000 table made the same point from the other direction, with a name attached and a chat convinced it was being robbed.
